|Malleolus de Valderramiro is a red wine signed by Emilio Moro winery. It is elaborated with 100% Tempranillo grapes.
Intense dark red cherry very covered, in the nose it presents intense and complex aroma, typical of this wine that once again brings us to the bottle the best of our oldest "majuelo". The aromas ofthe most genuine Tempranillo are the protagonists, matured and enriched in nuances by their aging in noble woods. In the palate it is opulent, silky and poweful, with a long and persistent afertaste.
Made from the selection of Valderramiro grapes located in Pesquera at 859 meter or 2808 feet masl. The alcoholic fermentation has been carried made out in stainless steel tanks of small size at controlled temperature. The malolactic fermentation has taken place in American oak barrels while the aging has been carried out for 18 months in French oak barrels.
Malleolus de Valderramiro has been recognized by Wine Enthusiast as the 7th best wine in the world in their issue "Top 100 Cellars of the World 2005”, with 97 points. The Spanish economic journal Expansión considers it as the 3rd "Best wine in Spain”.
