Broa red wine with Denomination of Origin Ribeira Sacra is elaborated in the Chantada sub-area, is made with the Mencía, Garnacha and Tempranillo grape varieties from 15 to 20 year old strains.

The harvest of Broa red wine is manual, a destemming and subsequent alcoholic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel, then the wine is passed to barrels of French oak and American oak giving rise to a spontaneous malolactic fermentation. The aging in the same barrels during 4 months. Finally it stabilizes naturally in stainless steel, without filtration, for about 3 months. It is bottled and is carried out a reductive aging in bottle for at least 6 months before being released.

Broa red wine has a cherry red color with rosy tones. In nose aromas with notes of red fruits on a spicy background. In the mouth it has a pleasant entrance, good acidity and marked but cool tannin. A fruity and sweet aftertaste reminiscent of jam of fruit (raspberry, red fruits) in addition to a spicy souvenir of cacao.
