Proencia Barrica Wine
Proencia Barrica is a red wine of D. Ribeira Sacra, sub-area Amandi, from the winery Proencia de Tomás Arias located in Sober (Lugo). It is made with 100% Mencía grapes from vineyards of more than 50 years that are born on the sculpted slopes and terraces of the impossible Ribeira Sacra in the sub-area of Amandi.

The harvest is manual, maceration between 15 and 20 days with alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature and subsequent malolactic fermentation in French and American oak barrels and a breeding of 12 months in the same barrels, then bottled and rested in bottle for two years.

The red wine Proencia Barrica is cherry red. On the nose it has roasted aromas and ripe fruit. In the mouth it has a fresh acidity with notes of ripe fruit and a correct finish.
