Villa de Corullón

The wine Villa de Corullón is one of crianza red wines with O.D. Bierzo, Descencientes de J. Palacios winery, made from grapes Mencia  which come from plots of very old vines, aged between 40 and 90 years located exclusively in the municipality of Corullón in the Bierzo.

Vinification of Villa de Corullón wine: the grapes are partially despalillaron and proceeds to ferment for 32 days in open wooden vats with punching down. Macerated for 32 days and spontaneous malolactic fermentation in wooden vats.

The aging period is 14 months in French oak barrels.

Red wine Villa de Corullón has a cherry red color. The nose has fruity aromas with toasty oak touch. The palate is balsamic, mineral and great expression of red fruits. Round and very long.
