Viña Vella Mencía
Viña Vella Mencía wine is a young red wine with the O.D. Ribeira Sacra of the Ribeiras do Miño sub-area, Virxen dos Remedios winery located in Diomondi (Saviñao), is made with 100% Mencía grapes.

Fermentation of Viña Vella mencía wine is made in stainless steel tanks, with native yeasts at 24-28 ° C, with daily pumping. Maceration for 3-4 weeks and subsequent malolactic fermentation, tartaric stabilization by cold, filtration and bottling.

Viña Vella red wine is garnet red, on the nose it has ripe fruit aromas, it has a good structure in the mouth, it is balanced, with well rounded tannins.

Viña Vella Mencía red wine has several distinctions, among them:

  •       "Acio de Ouro" to the best Galician red wine in the XI Wine Tasting of Galicia 1999. Xunta de Galicia.
  •       Diploma of Honor in the XX Wine Tasting of Galicia. Xunta de Galicia 2008.
  •       "Acio de Ouro" of the D. Ribeira Sacra in the XXV Wine Tasting of Galicia, Xunta de Galicia 2013.
