Bottled at 90 proof, and made with unique "Sinatra Barrels”, Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Select pays tribute to Jack’s biggest fan: Mr. Frank Sinatra.

These Sinatra barrels have deep grooves on the inside of the staves — which exposes the whiskey to extra layers of oak. This imparts a rich amber color, bold character and a pleasant smokiness, followed by an incredibly smooth vanilla finish. Much like Frank himself, this whiskey is one of a kind.

Frank Sinatra loved Jack. That’s Jack, as in Daniel’s. The Tennessee Whiskey. It was on stage with him every night. And before long, a glass of Jack Daniel’s was as much a part of him as his tuxedo, his fedora and his golden voice. Frank loved Jack so much, he was even laid to rest with a bottle of it. So it seemed only fitting not just to pay tribute, but to share a drink, with the man who loved us as much as we love him.

Frank Sinatra and Jackie Gleason were close friends. In fact, it was Jackie Gleason himself who introduced Frank to Jack Daniel’s. And as the story is told, it was sometime in the 1940s. Jackie and Frank were sitting together at a bar in New York City. Frank was forlorn – over a woman – and was sharing his troubles with Gleason. Frank informed his good friend that he was in need of a "serious” drink. Turning to Sinatra, Gleason responded "Jack Daniel’s. That’s a good place to start.” And the rest, as they say, was history.

In 1967, Jack Daniel’s salesman Angelo Lucchesi heard talk that Frank Sinatra was at the Copacabana and couldn’t find any Jack Daniel’s (as it was in much shorter supply back then.) Without hesitation, Lucchesi saw to it that a supply of Jack was delivered to Frank immediately. Indebted, Sinatra called Angelo at home and said, "Paisano, you’re my kind of man. I love you forever.” This was the beginning of a 31-year friendship between Frank and Angelo where Frank would fondly refer to Lucchesi as "the Kid.” And it was Lucchesi himself who personally ensured that Frank Sinatra always had Jack Daniel’s with him no matter where he traveled.
