30 Copelos red wine is one of the Galician wines with D.O Ribeiro from the winery Lagar do Merens located in Arnoia (Ourense, Galicia).
Grape varieties of the 30 Copelos wine are: Sousón 40%, Caíño 30%, Ferrón 20% and Garnacha 10%.
The harvest of the wine 30 Copelos is done manually. The grapes are deposited whole in barrels of French oak for their maceration in cold of 24 to 48 hours. The fermentation lasts between 21 and 30 days. Subsequently the malolactic fermentation is carried out, remaining with its fine lees for 6-9 months, until bottling and a rest, in bottle of 4 months before going to market.
Red wine 30 Copelos is red cherry. In the nose, it combines notes of wild red fruits, blackberries, cherries, dried leaves and fine vegetal, toasted, toffe, balsamic (licorice) and spicy, fine woods with a marine and complete air. In the mouth it is smooth with a perfect acidity marked but very well wrapped in a medium body, nothing pasty. The tannins give the feeling of solidity that give it a great personality. It is a fine and elegant wine.
30 Copelos red wine wins the Bronze medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2011.
