|The new Japanese whisky fom Suntory, Hibiki Japanese Harmony, is a blend whisky which is done over 12 malt whiskies and grain whiskies from Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries, in their 17 and 21 years expressions.
The whiskeys are drawn from 5 different types of casks, including American white oak casks, sherry casks and oak barrels mizunara. The mixture itself was prepared by mixing equipment Suntory Whisky, led by Master Blender Shingo Torii.
Like other whiskeys in the series, Hibiki whiskey Harmony comes in a spectacular glass bottle 24 faces to symbolize the 24 seasons of the old Japanese lunar calendar.
Hibiki whiskey in glass Harmony is pale amber. The nose is soft and floral, with strong notes of pine, with aromas of orange blossom, vanilla and cinnamon. Wood notes also due to the use of barrels mizunara (Japanese oak) during maturation of this blend.
Hibiki Japanese Harmony is medium, slightly oily body. A light and complex whiskey, which reveals its features gently. Notes of honey and a slight spicy touch. There are also notes of orange and cinnamon, and some candy. Dab of rosemary and surprising and soft smoky notes.
Hibiki Japanese Harmony has a long finish, keeping light spicy notes in the aftertaste. Very balanced, with hints of white chocolate and a hint of honey.
